There are many simple steps to improve your health and the health of your family. Here are just a few:
Eat more vegetables and fresh fruit. Eat some of it raw every day. Grab an apple instead of a snack bar. The more unprocessed, uncooked food you eat, the better. Eat some raw veggies instead of crackers and chips.
Use a full spectrum salt like REAL brand salt, Himalayan salt or Celtic salt.. Avoid plain white salt, even if it says sea salt. It has been stripped of vital nutrients.
Use real butter and stay away from all butter blends and margarines.
Use a natural nut butter with no additives. Most nut butters have bad oils and sugars added. There are many natural ones now with only nuts and maybe some salt. Go for the least ingredients. Eat your nut butters with apple slices or celery sticks instead of crackers or bread.
Drink lots of pure water and avoid chlorine and fluoride. We got a Reverse Osmosis water filter system, so our water could be clean and clear from all chemicals. When we are away from home, we carry our water with us or buy bottled water to avoid the chlorine and other chemicals. The rule of thumb for water is to drink half your body weight in ounces of water each day.
Cook in stainless steel or cast iron on your stove top. Get rid of all aluminum and non-stick, coated cookware, as the surface of those leeches into the food and it is toxic.
Bake in glass, stoneware or stainless steel. Get rid of all aluminum cookware/bakeware because aluminum leeches into the food and is known to cause Alzheimer’s plus you can taste it in the food. Ick! Food will taste much better when you evict aluminum from your kitchen!
Cook on the stove top and in the oven with real heat and not radiation. Get rid of the microwave oven. It changes the molecular structure of the food. Years ago, I read warnings from the American Medical Association and the American Pediatric Association against ever using the microwave for anything consumed by children under 3. When I searched for more information, I found out that the reason it is bad for babies is bad for us, too, so out it went. People who eat microwaved food have a significantly increased risk of cancer and other diseases.
We have no aluminum pans, no non-stick coated cookware, no microwave, drink only pure water, eat real butter, natural nut butters, and eat some kind of fresh raw plant food every day.
